The Repelec business was founded in 1988 by Trevor N. Bell as sole proprietor trading as TNB Agencies. The initial product range was limited, and included nylon bushings and rubber grommets - by all regards a humble beginning. In 1990, TNB Agencies became Repelec (Aust) and was incorporated in the state of NSW. The new name soon became synonymous with first rate service and representation, along with a continually evolving product range. Repelec pioneered the concept of point of sale merchandising in the electrical wholesale channel as an effective value add selling tool.

In 1998, Repelec was acquired by Metal Manufactures Limited (MML), at that time a publicly listed Australian company.

Repelec continues to prosper today under Trevor's leadership as specialist representatives, merchandisers and distributors servicing over 1500 wholesalers within the electrical, plumbing, industrial and automotive markets of Australia.

Our strategic direction is to continue to expand our product portfolio to consolidate our customers ordering process, to identify new products that compliment our existing range, development of new market segments, and improvements to our service package through innovation and technological development.
